Hi fellow students/instructors,

I live in Michigan, USA, but am in my home state of Louisiana half the year where my family still lives, including my two grown children and four grandchildren. My husband and I own a small business (and I am fortunate to be able to work from anywhere as long as I have my computer and Internet) and he also teaches at a university in Michigan.

Jesus Christ saved me when I was 24 years old (many years ago), praise God, and because of his grace, I love him more every day! I have been serving on two teams at my church that are focused on world evangelization / global missions for the past 8 years and know that this will continue until I die or the Lord returns . One of these teams partners with some local churches in Tatarstan, Russia 

Although I am not able to be a full-time missionary or church planter, I believe it's important for me to understand this central work in order to better support our partners and missionaries. And that's what I hope to gain from this course: a deep understanding of all aspects of church planting so that I can serve others with greater knowledge and insight.
