My name is Vishwas S. Padole and I will be your facilitator for this course.

I am born to parents who came to know the Lord as their personal saviour in the late-60s through
the mission hospital in the state of Maharashtra. It was a rural context where education had not
reached to the common people. The people were completely under the power of darkness and
superstitions. Christian missionaries came to the region to serve the people who were affected with
various diseases and superstitions beliefs. The missionaries served the people thought the hospital
and other humanitarian ministries. My parents came forward to accept Jesus and God in His plan put
me in their family. I have one brother and one sister.

When I finished high school, I was led to Operation Mobilisation (OM), the Christian organisation
that led young people in discipleship and commitment to Christ. God touched my life and He spoke
with me through the scripture. I was 20 when I committed my life to Christ and decided to follow
him for rest of my life. I was fortunate to study in a seminary and gradually I obtained a PhD. My
area of scholarship is History of Christianity.

I met Swapna in the year 1990 and in the year 1992 we got married. We are blessed with a daughter,
Priyanka and a son, Amar Roshan. I am an ordained minister of the Baptist Church though I am
serving full time in ATA. We are part of a local church and actively involved in church activities.
Presently, Swapna and I are open and praying for a change in our present ministry. We would like
serve the Lord and fulfil his plans in our life while trusting him in our life.
