In this segment of the lecture David Shenk talks about the traditional Chinese religions and begins by looking at the ancient Chinese worldview in which Confucianism was formed. According to the legends, Chinese history goes back to the first archetypal man, Pan Ku. This ancient worldview suggests that China is at the center of the global community.
