Instructor: Richard Thompson

Richard Gentry Thompson has nearly 20 years of experience empowering local churches. Rick is a graduate of Wheaton Graduate School (1977) and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (M.Div. and D.Min.) He is the author of two books published by Church Smart: E:3 Effective, Empowering, Elders (2007) and Real Churches (2013). He teaches the Introduction to Church Planting course at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. Rick served as a superintendent in Texas with the Evangelical Free Church of America for seven years and now since 2004 with the Great Lakes District www.gld-efca.org. 

Richard Gentry Thompson serves the Lord Jesus Christ as a forgivene sinner, the husband of one wife, father of three, senior pastor of two churches, a missionary to Moscow, Russia, adjunct seminary professor of church plantine, a superintendent and a church consultant for multiplying healthy churches among all people to the glory of God.
